Musically, Teenage Secrets is the most feel-good song on the EP. Lyrically, the song tells a story of crushing really hard on someone at a young age. After all, the ultimate teenage secret is having a crush! I was horrible at keeping this type of secret in high school and would constantly blab about my crushes to friends. The song illustrates the cycle of liking someone, to realizing it won’t work out, to thinking you’ll be alone forever. So dramatic, but that’s how intense crushes felt during my teenage years! My favorite part of the song is the bridge (1:44-2:12). Musically, it’s a great indie breakdown that feels really groovy. Lyrically, it describes being in love with someone despite not being good for each other.
